The Central Bank of Myanmar announced on June 12 that it will monitor and take action against those who are inciting on social media to destabilize foreign exchange prices and will accelerate action against those who intentionally buy, sell, or exchange foreign currencies without a valid license.
The Central Bank of Myanmar is monitoring the Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Viber Group and Application (e.g., Myanmar Market Price) that are promoting USDT and foreign currency prices, and is taking legal action in accordance with existing laws to close the Pay Account and Banking Accounts of individuals and individuals associated with the promotion, block their SIM cards, and take legal action in accordance with existing laws.
The Central Bank of Myanmar has announced that it will take effective action against individuals and organizations that are intentionally buying, selling, and exchanging foreign currencies without a valid license issued by the Central Bank of Myanmar.
The Central Bank announced that it is selling foreign currency needed by importers through an online trading platform to stabilize the foreign exchange rate and prevent speculation, and selling small amounts of foreign currency at money transfer counters of private banks for those traveling abroad for medical treatment, education, pilgrimage, or employment. –
