SAC calls for continued collaboration to advance strategic CMEC

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), called for continued cooperation to ensure the smooth implementation of strategic projects along the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC).
The SAC’s chairman, made the above remarks while attending the Diamond Jubilee Ceremony of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China held at the Mingalar Thiri Hotel in Naypyidaw on June 8.
The SAC’s Chairman, said that Myanmar is in an important geographical location where China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the CMEC are being implemented. Therefore, he believes that the prompt implementation of these projects will provide many opportunities for the people of the two countries to jointly achieve sustainable prosperity and development. He also urged them to continue to cooperate to smoothly implement strategic projects and cooperation along the CMEC.
He expressed his deep appreciation for China’s continued positive engagement and goodwill towards Myanmar. The Chair of the SAC also conveyed his gratitude for China’s support on the international stage concerning the Myanmar issue, as well as for its encouragement of the Myanmar government’s efforts in the peace process, national reconciliation, and development. He noted that China’s firm stance reflects the deep friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries.
The SAC’s Chairman said that Myanmar firmly adheres to the one-China policy as a fundamental policy in international relations. In addition, it fully supported the People's Republic of China's accession to the United Nations in 1971. He reiterated that the one-China policy will continue to be implemented to further strengthen bilateral relations and contribute to regional peace and stability.
On this historic occasion, the SAC’s Chairman reiterated that he will work with China to further advance the common goals of the two countries. He also said that he will continue to strive to build a Myanmar-China community of shared future and accelerate peaceful development for the sake of the long-term common interests of the two peoples and the stable development of the region.
He reiterated that Myanmar will work with China to build a community of shared future based on mutual respect and win-win policies, and will work closely with China to deepen multi-sectoral cooperation for the common good of the two peoples.
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China, the Chairman of the SAC reaffirmed Myanmar’s strong commitment to further deepening the brotherly friendship between the two countries and accelerating the building of a community with a shared future through strategic cooperation.
Then, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Myanmar delivered a speech, and they watched a performance of Myanmar-China cultural dances, songs, and a video documenting the history of Myanmar-China relations and cooperation.
The ceremony was attended by Joint Secretary of the SAC, General Ye Win Oo, SAC members, Union-level officials and Union Ministers, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence, ambassadors from foreign embassies in Myanmar, the Chairman of the Naypyidaw Council, chairmen and members of the Myanmar Strategic and International Studies Group, the Myanmar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Myanmar-China Friendship Association, diplomats from the Embassy and Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Myanmar, and specially invited guests. –
