Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC), Vice-Senior General Soe Win, said that “From the time we assume responsibility for our government until the time we hand over power to the ruling party, we need to strictly enforce our own and our subordinates' actions to ensure that the public has no misconceptions.”
He made the above-mentioned remark during the second day of the SAC’s work coordination meeting on May 20, 2025.
In addition, as a multi-party democratic general election is scheduled to be held at the end of this month, the SAC Vice Chair emphasized the need for Chief Ministers of the regions and states to make the necessary preparations to ensure its success.
He stressed the importance of providing comprehensive information on the election process in each region and state. Highlighting that security and stability are essential for the successful conduct of a free and fair election, he urged that peace and stability be maintained in all areas where the election will take place.
As the SAC is currently managing national affairs, the Vice Chair instructed that it is crucial to carefully monitor public perception and prevent misunderstandings until power is handed over to the elected ruling party. –
