Senior General cites major changes for the country’s development during 2025

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, said that many important changes had taken place for the development of the country in 2025, and Myanmar had been able to enhance friendly relations with other countries, provide domestic products with access to foreign markets, and increase domestic and foreign investment in key areas of domestic need.
The acting president made the aforesaid statement in his 2026 New Year's greetings.
In addition, the acting president said that “In 2026, we must learn from the experiences of the past year and overcome these challenges successfully with unity, under standing, and trust, guided by our love for our country and its people, and the spirit of the union.”
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that 2026 will be a year of victory for all ethnic brothers and sisters, and he would like to urge them to work towards achieving the goal of democracy and passing on a good historical legacy to the country.
The Senior General also said that since the election is being held in phases, it is necessary for voters in the remaining townships to fully exercise their rights as Myanmar citizens and participate in the ongoing election. –
