104 members of DPLA, PDF, TNLA, and KIA return to legal fold, reunite with their families

A total of 104 individuals, comprising 94 DPLA members, seven PDF members, two TNLA members, and one KIA member, have returned to the legal fold along with their weapons and ammunition. They were handed over to their parents or guardians.
It is reported that of the 104 individuals who returned to the legal fold, 100 were men and four were women.
On August 12, a ceremony was held at the Local Training School in the PyinOoLwin Station in the Central Command to welcome 104 individuals who have returned to the legal fold. The returnees were then handed over to their parents or guardians in the presence of officials from the Pyin Oo Lwin military district, as well as district and township authorities. The group of returnees included 92 members of the DPLA (90 men and two women from Naungcho Township, and two men from Pindaya Township), three men from the NH PDF, one man from the KIA, one man from the Kyaukse PDF, one man from the Mogok PDF, two women from the Mandalay PDF, and two men from the TNLA (one from Namhsan Township and one from Momauk Township).
An official from the military district delivered remarks on regional stability, peace, and the rule of law during the ceremony.
The returnees handed over the following weapons and ammunition: one Type-81 rifle with one magazine and 30 rounds; one Type-82 rifle with two magazines and 210 rounds; one MA-3 rifle with one magazine and 10 rounds; and 12 assorted hand grenades. An official received the surrendered items and, in return, the authorities provided the returnees with cash rewards totaling 186 lakh kyats. This included 50 lakh kyats for each of the three rifles and 3 lakh kyats for each of the 12 hand grenades, as well as other support materials.
The returnees signed pledges, after which the authorities formally handed them over to their parents or guardians.
The State Security and Peace Commission announced that individuals who have returned to the legal fold were welcomed, given assistance, and reunited with their parents or guardians. The Commission encourages others who wish to do the same to contact their local district or township administrative bodies, military units, or police stations. Anyone who comes forward will be welcomed, assisted, and will receive a cash reward for any surrendered weapons and ammunition. –
